I am Md Akram Hossain, a research-oriented, dedicated Structural Engineer passionate about pushing the boundaries of design and engineering. With over 2 years of hands-on experience in the façade and steel industry, I have successfully completed nearly 10 projects, each one a testament to my commitment to excellence. Currently, I am working as a Structural Engineer in Arman Engineering Ltd., a façade fabricator and consultancy firm.
My research interests include (but are not limited to) the following:

My journey as a Structural Engineer has been marked by a strong academic record. I obtained B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), Chattogram, Bangladesh in September 2021.
With a passion for innovation, I have actively engaged in research, delving into the latest advancements and pioneering solutions in structural engineering. This research-driven approach not only broadens my knowledge but also enables me to integrate cutting-edge technologies and materials into my designs. My dedication to research has led to my work being published in a reputable journal. The title of my thesis is “Compressive Strength Prediction of Self-Compacting Concrete Using Artificial Neural Networks”.
My knowledge extends to various international building design codes, including ASTM, ASCE, AS:NZS, BNBC, and ACI. This expertise allows me to navigate diverse regulatory environments, ensuring that every project complies with the highest safety and quality standards.
As a tech-savvy engineer, I possess comprehensive software skills in structural analysis and design. Proficient in a range of software, including ETABS, SAP2000, ABAQUS, STAAD Pro, and IDEA StatiCa, I leverage these resources to perform sophisticated simulations and optimize structures to withstand diverse loads and environmental conditions.
My diverse skill set extends beyond engineering.
I am well-versed in programming languages such as C++, Python, and MATLAB, which empower me to develop custom tools and scripts, streamline processes, and enhance project efficiency.
I take immense pride in being honored with an international award for my outstanding performance in the ‘ACI Concrete Project Competition 2022‘ organized by the American Concrete Institute (ACI). This recognition motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of creativity and engineering in every project I undertake.
